Building my own web app

Over 3-4 months I used OpenAI's Chat GPT Codex to vibe code a web app as a community tool for the Illuvium Community. After that I then continued to develop it across other lesser known video games. I built out a react and tailwind frontend but also self taught backend and database development, efficient management of system resources and more to create something intuitive and performant

Overhauling the Grid Connect App

Myself and the Arlec design team went through and overhauled the entire app experience, allowing the development team to update the backend firmware. We obtained user feedback after every step, and iteratively enhanced the design both visually and in its core functionality. Notably we changed the icons so they were easier to understand, and didn't blend in to the rest of the app as much.

Dominating a saturated niche

At the height of Illuvium, many builders were competing to become the premium tool used by the community. I joined the Illuvialmaster team and overhauled both the UI and UX, creating tools that people actually wanted to use. This not only had the team dominate a vast majority of Illuvium traffic, but became a more popular site than the native Illuvium website due to its speed and valuable tools the community couldn't get elsewhere.
